Outlook and Teams
Back to the email the task came from
In Outlook on your Mac, you select the sentence that matters and press the shortcut. Weeks later, “Go to source” opens that very email if Omnido finds exactly one match, otherwise the conversation. The task shows the selected sentence too.
Open the Teams message or the whole chat
A question in Teams becomes a task with the message as its source. “Go to source” jumps to that message; if Omnido cannot find exactly one match, it opens the chat. Teams needs a work or school account.
Find the matching email afterwards
You type “email from Ms Miller about the quote”, without a source. Omnido shows up to three messages from that person from the last 7 days as “Possible source”, with excerpt and time. “Add as source” attaches the right one.
Put ✅ under the Teams message
When you complete a task from Teams, Omnido puts ✅ under the message. Whoever asked sees that it is done; Omnido never writes a message for it. You decide whether it asks first, always does it or never.
The call-back is in your Outlook calendar too
If you make “Call Mr Weber back on Thursday at 2 pm” an appointment, Omnido adds it to your Outlook calendar. While you set it, you see what it overlaps with. If you move it in Outlook, Omnido picks that up the next time you open the app.
Work and private, each account with its area
Connect a work or school account and your personal Microsoft account. Each gets an area: appointments from “Work” go into the work account’s calendar, private ones into the personal one. Some organisations have to allow Omnido first.
AI agents and other services
What your AI agent asks of you lands in Omnido
Claude Code asks you to test something tomorrow? Write into its instructions, for example in CLAUDE.md, that it always saves such requests in Omnido. The task arrives with the folder and branch as its source and sits next to your emails instead of getting lost in the terminal.
Ask your AI what is due today
“What’s on today?” Your AI reads the answer from Omnido and ticks tasks off when you say so; it cannot delete anything. “Remove” under “Omnido in other apps” ends its access at once.
Your AI sets up Omnido with you
On the first start, pick “I already use an AI”. Your AI then writes your “About me”, sets up Omnido and asks which of its MCP servers Omnido should use as well. You confirm the tool plan yourself with “Save plan”.
The ticket in view until it is closed
If a task comes from an issue in GitHub, Jira or Linear, Omnido asks through the connected MCP server whether it is still open. Once the item is closed there, the task shows “Update at the source”, and you complete it with one tap. If you like, Omnido notes “Done · Omnido” as a comment on the item.
Omnido knows which customer is meant
Connect your CRM as an MCP server. Omnido asks it for the company behind the sender and, after three confirmations, fills in that company’s category itself. With “Look up” you search the CRM directly and link the result as a source.
AI suggestions with your context
“To the hardware store” means your hardware store
“About me” says where you shop, who is on your team and where you work. If you type “Hardware store, get wall plugs”, the AI fills in your store. Your AI can write the text for “About me” for you.
Asked twice, one task
The same request comes by email and later again in Teams. While you capture, Omnido shows “Might already exist:” with the matching task, and “Merge” adds text and source to it. Both ways back stay.
One customer, one category
If emails from one sender, messages from one Teams channel or issues from one repository always end up in the same category, Omnido remembers it. After three confirmations it fills in the category itself and marks it “learned”. If you correct it twice in a row, it goes back to suggesting.
On the go and every day
The sentence on the web page
On your Mac, select a sentence in Safari, Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave and capture it. Later, “Go to source” opens the page and jumps to that sentence, as long as it is still there.
Share on the go, finish on the Mac
On your iPhone you share a link or text to Omnido, and it waits in the inbox. On the Mac you check it and turn it into the task. Without the iPhone app, a shortcut does the same; setting it up takes about 3 minutes.
The letter with a deadline
When a letter with a deadline arrives, you scan it with “Scan letter” in the iPhone app, up to 10 pages. The AI reads it and suggests a title and the deadline, which you check. The pages stay with the task as attachments.
What repeats
The team meeting on the first Tuesday of every month, the bins every 2 weeks on Thursday, the smoke alarm test every year on 1 May. When you complete one, the next is already there. If one is cancelled, you pick “Skip this one only”.
Know in the morning what is due today
At 8 am, or whenever you like, the “Daily summary” arrives, such as “Today: 3 due, 1 overdue”, with the tasks by category. If nothing is due, nothing comes. If a task does not fit today, “Change date” moves it to tomorrow or next week with one tap.
Follow-up: wait until it is time
You sent a quote and are waiting for an answer. Set the task to “Waiting” and give it a “from” date, such as next Monday. Until then it sits under its own day instead of under Today, and the “from” never makes it overdue.
Omnido comes as a Mac app, in the browser and for iPhone and iPad on the App Store. Read Turn a letter into a task for a practical first example.
